PHILADELPHIA, NOV 18, 2014 -- On November 22nd, Kamelot Auctions will present their Estate Furniture, Decorative Arts, and Fine Art Auction beginning at 10AM EST. In its entirety, the auction will present over 700 lots of English, Continental and brand name furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative arts, and fine arts.

Furniture buyers can anticipate an exciting array of very decorative, classic and original dining tables, chairs, settees, consoles, desks, and upholstered pieces in a variety of striking styles. Fine quality French furniture lots will include a six piece French Directoire style mahogany and bronze mounted bedroom suite circa 1880 bearing estimates of $4,000-$6,000 (lot 84), a very good antique French Regency serpentine front commode estimated at $3,000-$5,000 (lot 100), and a very good French mahogany museum collector’s cabinet having a stepped cornice above two over two glass front doors circa 1860 (lot 241, $2,500-$3,500). Some of the more elaborate choices include lot 279, a two-tier mahogany and marble top bronze mounted server circa 1900 ($2,000-$3,000), and lot 289, a Napoleon III marble top cabinet having egg and dart bronze molding with parquetry front and secondary bronze molding ($2,000-$3,000). Those in search of the perfect bergere or dining chairs have many lots to choose from, including a set of eight carved and painted dining chairs in the Louis XV style supported on cabriole legs with shaped stretcher circa 1920 (lot 20, $2,000-$3,000), a pair of Louis XIV leather bergere chairs having central carved & gilt crest with a rolled continuous arm and loose cushion seat circa 1910 (lot 15, $1,500-$2,500), and a set of eight 19th Century Napoleon III ebonized dining chairs having arched and carved crest rail over upholstered back panel and seat (lot 65, $1,500-$2,500).

The sale will feature a strong collection of English and brand name furniture as well. A pair of late nineteenth century English Adams style satinwood demilune console tables having fan decorated top over line inlaid apron circa 1890 is presented with estimates of $1,200-$1,800 (lot 323), and carrying a similar appeal is a very good English nineteenth Century Adams style gilt wood decorated mirror estimated at $1,000-$1,500 (lot 318). Expected to be one of the top earners is lot lot 361, a nineteenth century Regency gilt wood carved convex mirror having hippocampus resting on rock outcropping over carved molded frame presented with estimates of $1,800-$2,200.Other standouts include a labeled 'Henkel-Harris, model 2367A' mahogany sideboard having a brass gallery over serpentine front with two drawers and two drawers (lot 434, $1,000-$1,500), a four piece oak Arts and Crafts style Stickley bedroom set including king size bed, two end tables, and a large chest of drawers (lot 438, 1,000-1,800), and a labeled Schmieg and Kotzian mahogany breakfront having satinwood inlaid cornice over four mullioned doors above lower cabinet (lot 436, $600-$1,000)

Highlighting the selection of rugs is Lot 502, a semi antique garden Bakhtiari rug estimated at $900-$1,100, along with lot 492, a semi antique Heriz Oriental room size rug ($600-$1,000), and lot 496, a Peshawar Sultanabad rug 6' x 10' ($600-$800).

Buyers seeking fine art and decorative arts will also find plenty of inspiration for enhancing their collections. Most notable among the artwork is a signed Pablo Picasso (Spain/France 1881-1973) color aquatint titled 'Tete de Faune'' estimated at $1,000-$3,000 , two signed hand colored etchings by Marc Chagall (lots 556 and 557) , and pencil drawing after Salvador Dali titled 'Tree of Life'' (as Gaza) from the Museo Perrot Moore (lot 562, $1,000-$1,500). Lot 512 is an oil painting featuring an abstract composition with two figures by French artist Olivier Debra and is estimated at $1,000-$2,000, and lot 544 is a landscape oil painting by Russian/French painter André Lanskoy estimated at $1,000-$2,000.

Exceptional silver will also be offered in the sale. Highlights include a handsome ninety-four piece set of Tuttle 'Onslow' pattern sterling silver (lot 656, $1,500-$2,500), a good lot of five sterling silver pieces (lot 655, $600-$800), and a good nine piece lot of sterling silver including six small serving trays a cookie stand, and creamer and sugar of various makes and ages (lot 665, $500-$700) . Notable bronze lots include a monumental pair of bronze winged victory electric candelabra resting on fine marble bronze mounted pedestals circa 1920 (lot 632, $400-$600), a William Zorach (American 1887 - 1966) Cubist style bronze statuette of a seated nude signed 'Zorach' (lot 634, $400-$800), and a fine French bronze of a school boy sliding on a base of marble ice titled 'Chris' LV Paris Foundry Mark circa 1920 (lot 673, $400-$600).
