Kamelot Auction House ushered in the new year with their Antique Furniture and Decorative Arts auction on February 7th in Philadelphia. Surpassing its pre-sale estimate of $40,000 - 60,000, the painting sold for $83,000 to a buyer in Canada. Other lots leading the fine art selection was a Louis De Mayo (Arizona, b. 1926) oil painting titled "Seated Woman", (lot 609) which brought $5,200, and a Constant Troyon (French, 1810-1865) oil painting of a bull titled "Vache", which sold for $4,800 (lot 617).
