On February 27th, Kamelot Auction House will present their Antique Furniture and Decorative Arts Auction beginning at 10AM EST. In its entirety, the auction will present over 600 lots of English, French, and Continental furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative arts, silver, Orientalia, and fine art.

 Furniture buyers can anticipate an array of very decorative, classic and original dining tvables, chairs, settees, consoles, desks, and upholstered pieces in a variety of striking styles. Fine quality French furniture lots will include a similar pair of French metamorphic open etageres bearing an estimate of $1,000-$1,500 (lot 171), a French Directoire style bronze mounted sideboard with shaped marble estimated at $1,000-$1,500 (lot 86), and a French Directoire style carved and painted five piece salon set circa 1920 which includes a pair of side and arm and matching settee (lot 116, $800-$1,200).

 Those in search of the perfect set of dining chairs will have numerous lots to choose from, including a set of six nineteenth century French Louis Philippe style mahogany dining chairs having Klismos inspired backs (lot 118, $800-$1,200), a set of six French Louis XVI style leather upholstered dining chairs circa 1930 (lot 99, $1,200-$1,800), and a set of fourteen French Louis XVI style painted dining chairs circa 1940 (lot 121, $2,500-$3,500)

 The sale will feature a strong collection of English furniture as well. A pair of English style leather Chesterfield sofas with rolled backs and arms is presented with an estimate of $2,000-$4,000 (lot 253) and carrying a similar appeal is a lot of two leather Chesterfields, each having rolled backs and arms with nail head decoration estimated at $1,000-$1,800 (lot 252). Expected to be one of the top earners is lot 259, a pair of Edwardian Aubusson upholstered library club chairs circa 1890 presented with estimates of $1,500-$2,500. Other standouts include a nineteenth century Edwardian octagonal table and four matching chairs (lot 245, $1,000-$1,800), an ebonized settee in the style of Charles X with curved back and seat (lot 243, $600-$800), and a Regency style ebonized bench with upholstered seat (lot 248, $600-$800).

 Notable Art Deco lots include an interesting pair of Art Deco style leather chairs having open arms and stylized base (lot 303, $600-$900), and a rare pair of French Art Deco green leather club chairs circa 1940 (lot 302, $1,200-$1,800).

 Highlighting the selection of rugs is 335, a 8' x 9'2" Peshawar Sultanabad rug estimated at $1,000-$1,200, a 6' x 8'7" Savonnerie rug (lot 351, $500-$700), and an Indo Bijar room size rug (lot 354, $600-$900).

 Prospective buyers will be tempted by the smorgasbord of decorative arts items that Kamelot has compiled, just some of which will include twenty plus lots of Orientalia, clocks, bronzes, glassware, and over forty lots of silver. Expected to spur considerable competition amongst buyers is a select group of glass by renowned maker Renee Lalique. Leading the group is lot 417, an opalescent "Tulipes" glass vase, signed etched script and engraved R. Lalique estimated at $1,000-$1,500. Other highlights include a Lalique opalescent "Gui" glass vase, engraved R. Lalique (lot 419, $800-$1,200), and a Lalique "Ormeaux" glass vase, signed etched script R. Lalique, France No. 984 (lot 420, $600-$900).

Lot 476, a five piece sterling silver tea set by Salvador De La Serna circa 1950 (lot 476, 190.425 troy ounces sterling silver) is expected to bring upwards of $1,000-$1,500 and is just one of many fine silver lots that will cross the auction block. Other gems include lot 474, a seven piece Gorham sterling silver tea service in the Fairfax pattern circa 1930 ($1,000-$1,500, 201.249 troy ounces), and an unusual and large teal porcelain vase with silver foliate overlay marked "Thomas Ivory Germany" circa 1930 (lot 509, $200-$400).

 A select group of fine art, comprising seventy-seven lots, will indeed bring further enthusiasm to this sale. Top contenders include lot 544, a signed oil on canvas painting by Warren Brandt titled “Model with Green Rug” ($1,000-$2,000), an oil on canvas painting by Italian artist Nicola Simbari titled “Campo De Fiori” estimated at $1,000-$2,000 (lot 545), and a watercolor by Dutch artist Kees van Dongen titled “Scene D’Interieur” estimated at $1,000-$3,000 (lot 566). Other noteworthy pieces include an acrylic on canvas painting by Austrian artist Kurt Larisch (lot 553, $500-$1,000), a fall landscape oil on canvas painting titled “The Grand View Years” by New York artist Elmer Stanley Hader (lot 535, $500-$1,000), and an abstract oil on canvas painting by Pennsylvania artist Jimmy Lueders (lot 554, $1,000-$1,500).
